ALTERED ODYSSEYS--AND OTHER EPICS
altered pages, erasures, and remixes from Greek and Roman epic poems
Her Heaven
a remix of a passage from Emily Wilson's translation
of Homer's
Odyssey
by SOPHIA STOLKEY

of the iron axes
set the slaughter to her firm hand.
Gold and deadly,
she poached the godlike people.
Death had gone for
headless hospitality;
a bull at pasture
to mark the memory of
dazzling.
